Bachelors Degree at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay
PhD Lund University
My research background is amyloid protein aggregation. I studied α-synuclein aggregation at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay before moving to Sweden for my PhD, where in Prof. Sara Linse's lab I studied amyloid β42 aggregation. My main focus was to understand the mechanism of secondary nucleation of Aβ42 using various aggregation assays and various microscopy techniques. Following my PhD, I moved to Leeds to do my post doc with Professors Sheena Radford and Neil Ranson.
My project is about studying structures of amyloid fibrils purified from tissue samples using cryo-EM, in collaboration with Dr. Rene Frank.
Outside of the lab, I like going to watch football, be outside in nature, and like spending time on hobbies which let me be creative.
