MChem University of Manchester (2018)
PhD Biochemistry (University of Manchester, 2022)

My research background is in native mass spectrometry and ion mobility. I obtained my MChem degree from University of Manchester in 2018, and stayed to complete my PhD working with Prof Perdita Barran in 2022, focussing mostly on developing variable-temperature ion mobility experiments. I went on to work as native MS research scientist at OMass Therapeutics in Oxford before moving to Leeds in April 2023 to start my postdoc.
My project is part of a joint MRC grant with Profs Neil Ranson, Frank Sobott and Sheena Radford, studying ex vivo IAPP fibril formation in pancreas tissue using mass spectrometry and cryo-EM. Collaboration with Dr Paolo Actis aims to unravel tissue-specific geography of amyloid formation using nanopipettes.
